We are excited to invite you to a lecture by Iris Haim, Yotam’s mother, who was kidnapped from his apartment in the village of Gaza,
who survived for 70 days in the tunnels but was suspected of being a terrorist and was accidentally shot by IDF forces.
In an inspiring lecture, Iris talks about Yotam’s life and death, and her choice of life.
The lecture is accompanied by musical excerpts by Yotam’s brother, Tuval Haim, and singer Elisef Bashari.
During the show, music by Yotam himself will be incorporated.
Iris relates:
“On October 7, 2023, the ground fell under my feet…
For the next 70 days and until December 15, I chose to hold within me faith and unquestioned hope that he was alive, surviving, and being cared for.
On the day of our release from captivity, when we were informed of the worst for us, I had to choose again.”
How can we create a reality that allows you to breathe even when it seems that there is no more air?
How can you tell a strengthening story even when everything is crumbling around you?
How can you live happily even when the ground drops under your feet?
