‘Dawn of a New Day’ produced by “Spectrum – Jerusalem House of Culture and Art”
Two musical performances that deal with hope and renewal, reflecting the spirit of the times, the great rift, the abysmal pain, the unceasing hope that has been beating within us for two years for the day when a new dawn will dawn upon us.
A connection between leading Israeli musicians and Jerusalem musicians whose worlds were shaken by the war in one way or another in the deepest and most painful way.
Artists who experienced the worst and found the strength to embark on a journey of healing, renewal, and hope that may finally await us when the morning dawns.
On the second evening, Efrat Gush, singer, creator, musician and actress, will host Tuval Haim from the band Folk’s, brother of Yotam Haim, who was accidentally killed by our forces while trying to escape the Hamas tunnels in Gaza.
Yotam was a gifted drummer, a virtuoso with a magical personality who struggled with mental pain and difficult struggles throughout his life, and music was his anchor and healer.
Tuval is a talented and experienced musician who performs with his band Folk’s all over the country and even abroad, and who has turned his personal pain into a driving force for creation, healing, and contribution to the community.
Efrat Gush has released three albums that have been very successful, has participated in films and plays, and has been performing on big stages for 20 years in solo performances, with a band, and in collaborations with a variety of leading Israeli artists such as Eran Tzur, Amir Lev, Ofer Meiri, Assaf Amdursky, Arik Berman, and more.
Her work touches on a variety of personal, emotional, and social issues: love, separation and loneliness, growing up and self-searching, and dealing with a complex and unexpected reality.
The show is an original work that has never existed before and is based on a new collaboration between the creators.
