Yona Wallach was a total poet, a multi-magnitude of words, who broke through poetic and gender conventions in her work. The wildness, boldness, and complexity of her poetry have not dimmed over the years, and despite the intricate dialogue she conducted through her poems with Hebrew poetry for generations, she remains unique and special, eluding any definition. She has been called crazy and a genius. Wallach imagined herself as someone who is outside the order.

Carmit Sapir Weitz hosts musician Eran Tzur and poet Dr. Roni Somek in a literary-musical performance, for a performance that focuses on poetry that broke through the boundaries of language, body, and identity, and placed an exposed personal voice alongside a broad cultural statement. The evening looks at the tension between order and breakthrough in her work and examines its place in Hebrew poetry.
