“And your body is a gaze and a window and a mirror for me” (Leah Goldberg)
Poetry about the body’s possibilities for forgiveness
“Forgiveness Time” event series – four events in the month of Elul from “Meshiv Ruach” and “Raash HaRavim”.
Hosted by poet Herut Lubitz and with the participation of poet Shlomit Naim Naor and bard and media personality Livnat Ben Hamo.
The body anchors a person to the world, but at the same time it is a source of pain and shame. The person who walks within his body is required to have a complex relationship – to balance the needs of the body and the spirit and between internal demands and the voices heard from outside. In this event, we will ask forgiveness from our body, and we will ask our body to ask forgiveness from us. We will find out whether the body can also be a source of comfort and forgiveness to the world for its troubles, and whether the gospel of forgiveness can come from the most basic reconciliation between each person and their own body.
