“For me, every flower is a chance for a sudden sublime change” (Tirza Atar)
Tirza Atar, a gifted poet and songwriter, published three books of poetry in her short life, and a fourth book, completed after her death, was found. Her work includes dozens of beloved hymns that have become an important part of Hebrew culture.
Carmit Sapir Weitz hosts a literary-musical performance featuring musicians Nathan Salor (son of Tirza Atar), Yael Kedar, and Liran Sela in new performances of poetry, and poet Dr. Roni Somek, for a dive into the depths of her work, into rare poems and hymns that reveal a rich, complex, humorous, and touching inner world.
Among the songs that will be performed: “Rain Listen to Women,” “Don’t Buy Me a Rose,” “Save Your Soul,” and many more.
