For the first time at the Jerusalem Nocturne, Shai Hember comes to an intimate and special artist’s retreat, where she opens the door to the audience into her creative world.

Just Shai, the guitar and the songs. Exactly as they were written. Throughout the session, Shai will perform songs from her albums, and songs she has written for others, and will talk about the moments, people and stories that gave birth to them, and will share the writing and creative process behind some of the songs that have become part of the Israeli soundtrack in recent years.

This is an opportunity to meet Shay Hember not only as a singer and performer, but first and foremost as a songwriter, to listen to the lyrics as they were first written, to understand what was behind them, and to hear the songs stripped back to everything that made them songs in the first place: story, guitar, and voice.

Shai Hember, one of the most prominent and significant young female composers in Israeli music, is known for her honest, direct and open writing, which succeeds in transforming personal experiences into moments that many people find themselves in. At the meeting, she will allow the audience to get to know the world behind the songs, the choices, inspirations, moments and stories that made them what they are.

A one-time, close and direct encounter with Shai Hember and her songs, just as they began.
