“I sing to pass the time, like a poet sings”

Yossi Banai, one of the greatest creators in Israeli culture, was not only a gifted actor and singer, but also a sensitive poet and an artist of words.
Carmit Sapir Weitz, poet Roni Somek and the Mosaic Ensemble in a unique literary-musical evening about Banai’s poetic work, whose writing combines humor, nostalgia, longing and reflections on life.
His moving songs and lesser-known pieces are presented in musical performances that will give a new interpretation to his unique lyrics, alongside acting and conversation segments about his place as a poet in Hebrew music and Israeli culture. Among the songs that will be performed: “Me and Simon and Little Moise”, “Sing to Pass the Time”, “It is the melody that decides”, “I have a little bird in my heart” and more.

  • Doors open about an hour before the show, and early arrival is recommended.
  • Food and drinks can be ordered from waiters/waitresses before the performance.
  • Seating is around tables and the bar, and arrangements are determined by the venue staff (there is no guarantee of table seating or a private table).
  • Tickets may be canceled up to 48 hours before the show, subject to a cancellation fee of 5 ₪ per ticket. After this time, cancellations will not be accepted.
