One Note – A new series of meetings at Nocturno Live that brings the voices of Jerusalem to the forefront. Journalist and radio broadcaster Nir Gorli ('One Note') hosts in-depth, open conversations with artists who grew up in the city or live and create there today. A journey into the creative process, the complexities and the Jerusalem identity, with a live performance on stage immediately following the interview.
This time we will host Hadra Levin Ardi – a musician (singer-songwriter), poet and essayist, with 18 albums and 5 books behind her. Hadra, who has been nicknamed “the Israeli Bob Dylan and Tom Waits”, is a cultural bulldozer in the body of one person. Secular in Jerusalem, a pianist who does funk and rock, and an intellectual in the pop scene who, with brilliant lyrics, black humor and joy of life, bites all the sacred cows. The meeting will be led by Nir Gorli.
Nir Gorli is a journalist, broadcaster and podcast creator, and the creator of 'Shir Ahad' – the podcast and television series of Kan, which tell the stories behind Israeli songs. Over the years, he has created, edited and presented programs and tracts dealing with music and culture, and has hosted shows and events that combine songs and stories. Winner of the Israeli Television Academy Award and twice the Dalia Sigan Award for Creativity in Radio.
