Jackie Levy and Iran Tzanhani on relationships, humor, and everything in between.
There is no dispute that without humor, it is impossible to survive married life, and a humorless partner is exactly what we all wish on our haters. But the connection is a two-way street. If it weren’t for the relationship (not ours!! Our lives are honey…) what would we laugh about?!
“Half of the Broken Glass” is a meeting with stories of couples from Jewish sources, where the relationship between Israel and its God is also described as a type of partnership. And as always, the oldest stories sound the most current.
Warning – you won’t take home a single practical piece of advice from this evening, except for the recommendation to return to the wisdom of the first Jew, and say at least once a day, if necessary and even if not, “Tzaddaka from me.”
The event is part of the 2026 Ephraim Kishon Israeli Comedy Festival.
